Who we are
For visitors and clients in this region, the data controller is SMARTECHOR LIMITED (United Kingdom), registered at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX (CN 16274370). Smartechor is a global technology company operating in the United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Serbia. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data, and is governed by the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Information we collect
We collect only the data we need to operate our business and respond to you:
- Contact details you provide — name, email, company, phone, and the content of your message — via our contact, booking, or subscription forms.
- Project information you share with us during an engagement or proposal.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device, and usage analytics collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
How and why we use it
We process personal data to:
- respond to enquiries and schedule calls;
- provide, deliver, and improve our services;
- send service updates and, where you have opted in, occasional insights;
- comply with legal, accounting, and security obligations.
Legal basis for processing
We rely on one or more of the following: your consent; the performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating and growing our business (balanced against your rights); and compliance with legal obligations.
Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers (for example, hosting, email, analytics, and scheduling tools) acting on our instructions, and with our affiliated Smartechor entities where necessary to deliver services. Because we operate internationally, your data may be transferred across borders; where it is, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, to comply with legal and contractual obligations, and to resolve disputes — after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at office@smartechor.ch. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices — to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
Changes & contact
We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date below reflects the latest revision. Questions or requests can be sent to office@smartechor.ch.
